Can I lay it myself?
All timber floors from Grangewood Floors are available on a supply only basis as well as our supply and fit service.
Engineered wood floors- We would endorse any engineered wood floor as being DIY friendly and can be installed by anyone with good DIY skills.
Prefinished solid wood floors- Whilst not technically that much more difficult solid wood is more susceptible to moisture, they need acclimatizing properly and you do need the use of a Portanailer to fire in the nails. In addition they are generally more expensive, so if things do go wrong can be more expensive to put right. However we have a hiring service for a Portanailer, and with the right guidance (from us) it can be done.
Reclaimed wood floors- 100-300yr old oak floors need very careful handling, this is the most specialist area for timber floors and can only be handled by experienced installers. Call our sales office for more information on our reclaimed and antique flooring.
